WE THOUGHT IT was all over… But could Garth Brooks be on his way back to Ireland? Maybe, maybe not.

The Irish Daily Star reports this morning that Garth Brooks “could be set” to announce another run of tour dates in Ireland for next summer.

The story, which has now been picked up by many online news outlets, mentions dates in “Dublin and possibly other Irish cities” as well as potential matinee performances.

But where is this inside information coming from? The Star cites “sources in the US” as well as this article from Billboard magazine in the US, which includes a line about a possible Garth Brooks European tour.

Sources say there will be both European and Australian legs to the tour next summer, and possibly a run into South America. The ill-fated five Croke Park shows originally meant to start this cycle would have been worth $100m in total gross, and Brooks will surely make a huge play in Ireland before all is said and done.

This appears to be a speculative remark from the journalist who wrote the piece, rather than a confirmation of Brooks’ plans for more Irish shows. But who knows?

DailyEdge.ie has contacted Garth Brooks’ representatives in both Ireland and the US for comment. Stay tuned.
